Sooo, it’s time for a new project. But why build all of this if this when f1-dash is a thing. well with the recent API changes from Formula 1 and the increasing struggle to handle all of the load created i think it just made sense to take a new approach.
An approach which eliminates the need for a backend/server and also one which allows for people with active f1 subscriptions to log in, so they can enjoy all of the data which they pay for and have access to.
(A clean and complete f1 login on a 3rd party website is impossible.)
All of those points can be solved by moving off of the web side of things, and that’s called a desktop application.
Building a performance and clean (these are my kind of expectations) desktop application isn’t going to be easy, but that’s the price you pay.
This small website is the first user-facing part of Nitrous. In the future, it will contain more information about the project, as well as download links.
If you want to follow the development of Nitrous more closely, check out the devlog or the roadmap.
This is it for now. Stay tuned for more updates!
(Maybe also with screenshots and more details in the future) XD
