With the Miami GP more motivation was sparked, so we already have a couple of new things to share.
First the website got a small redesign as well as an all new home page with a FAQ section and details about Nitrous. If you haven’t seen it already check it out.
We also have updates on the desktop app itself of course.
Weather Data
We hooked up the weather data we get. So you know stay on top of what’s happening wind/temperature wise on the track. In future updates we have in mind to introduce graphs for the weather data metrics so you can see the data evolve over the course of a session.

A small addition but it’s bringing us one step closer to f1-dash.com feature parity.
Settings
Another very important feature are the settings which we need before releasing any version/form of nitrous.
From the settings you can login to your f1tv account in case you changed your mind after setup.
As well as configure your delay and delay window which determines how much data is being buffered.
Another but hopefully not so often used feature is the reset button, it will reset the whole application, use it if you want to start fresh or want to do the onboarding again.
And last you see the current version of nitrous which is installed, somewhere around here there also will be the option to update nitrous if the time has come.

The settings will keep growing with all the features which are planned, but it’s great that there’s a foundation to continue building on.
Minor things
There’s also a lot more which was done in the last few days:
- Additional sub windows now open in a good default size. So no additional resizing is needed for example the Race Control Messages.
- Duplicate headers/titles were removed from the additional sub windows.
- Fixed a bug where additional sub windows will stay open forever when exiting the dashboard.
- Save changes to delay if they are done from the dashboard.
- Internal dependency updates
Short update about the F1TV Integration
In our last devlog we showed what we have been working on regarding the f1tv integration. During the Miami GP also Live Streaming was tested. With the current implementation live streaming does not work so there’s still some development and architecting needed until it can be shipped.
Conclusion & What’s next?
And as always these are the open points regarding MVP release.
All that’s left is building the homescreen of nitrous as well as a screen where you can search the previous years of sessions and play them back.
As this is one of the main things of nitrous and the page you will see when starting we want to make sure it’s perfect so we’ll take our time here but we already made quite some progress here. So stay tuned for the next update.
One last thing will also need sorting out. This is mainly the release / versioning process which will need to be created. So you can go to this site download nitrous and install it seamlessly to your device.
That’s it for this devlog.
